Baby Update
by catI am officially 26 weeks today!
Baby is doing great and growing strong- I can tell by her jabbing kicks 
She’s about 2 lbs now- I can’t believe she’s just going to triple that (or more!) in just a few months! I can tell she’s going to be a sweet girl. Last night was the first time that she was everywhere at once inside of me. Usually I just feel her kicking on one side or the other, but this time the second I’d lay my hand down where she was kicking, she’d start somewhere else- It was crazy!
How am I doing? Well I’m adjusting to being on the weight-gain program 
They say that if you’re having a girl, she takes all the mother’s beauty away during pregnancy and I think that’s true. But I’m trying to take time and make sure I feel and look like a sexy mom to be- well most days I’m starting to get the backaches and hip pains, but I’m willing to take it for what’s coming.
Of course I can’t sleep anymore. My doctor has 2 theories about it (no tips on how to help really but..)
1. The reason this happens in the third trimester is because thus far being pregnant is great and exciting. He thinks you need to get to the point where all you want is the baby out of you- and the best way to do that is to deprive you of sleep for 3 months. Then you’ll being singing the tune of- GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME!
2. Apparently I shouldn’t expect a full/good nights sleep for the rest of my life and this is just the prep time for that
The more people I tell these theories too, the more it seems they are true :p

YAY! I am glad you guys are writing on your blog again…I’ll have to add it to my list of blogs I always check. I hope you had a great Christmas morning…we are going to miss you guys when we leave

Cat – so fun feeling those baby acrobatics! Such a magical time – nothing like it. I know it can be uncomfortable at times – but it’s so wonderful – even more so in retrospect (ha). What do you think she’ll be – red head or brunette? It’ll be so fun to find out!
wow, so many weeks pregnant and Christer never mentioned to me you were pregnant. Though we haven’t talked in forever either. Congratulations to both of you.
