Yesterday (Jan. 10) I officially hit 31 weeks- only 8 weeks (at the max) to go! It’s getting a little “real” again. Last week I had my Dr’s appointment and I asked him to do an ultrasound (he’s cool and loves doing them so it wasn’t a problem). He even measured the baby! So at 30 weeks she was measuring at 31 weeks and is about 4 lbs. Everything was right on track he said. I wonder if she was measured again this week, how much weight she has gained. I don’t feel like she’s going to be a big baby and so far she’s developing perfectly.
So, the past couple weeks this little one’s kicks and movements have changed. Her bones are getting stronger and so sometimes when she moves it feels more like a jabbing in my gut- something hard to explain unless you’ve been there 
She has also had the hiccups several times. That was cool the first time it happened. At first I didn’t know what was going on, but quickly figured it out. It’s really awesome being able to feel her every movement! I feel like at times, possibly when she’s trying to sleep, she just can’t get comfortable and ends up trying to kick her way out of me.
Marzee, and others who have wondered what we think her hair color will be like… it could be be anything. Both of our families have red, brown and blonde in our siblings. My guess- I think she’ll have hair like mine, red/auburn when she’s little that will get darker as she goes up. But who knows- she could end up with strawberry blonde hair, now that would be really cute too!
Hair thing – we have a red head, brunette, and a blond in our family – so anything can happen! It’s always fun.
31 weeks! So great! I enjoyed being pregnant – but I was one of the lucky ones who had easy pregnancies. Do you exercise? Or have you been? I did with my first two – but on the third – I didn’t and noticed that I was a little more tired. Of course, that could have been because I was taking care of a family of four. Who knows! I also loved napping! Are you working right now? If so, what are you doing?
Christer – I don’t know exactly what it is that you do. I know you work with computers – are you setting up internal systems for businesses or what? What is it that requires your travel? I also know that you’re heavily involved with ubuntu – but is that just for fun or is that also employment – or is it your sole employment?
Congrats guys! You’re getting so close! And I hate to be one of those that just throws out unsolicited opinions but go on dates now! You’re going to have so much fun being parents, but until then, have so much fun being just you two. Not to be all dramatic but it just doesn’t happen again. Good luck with everything!
YAY CAT!! I can’t believe you are so far along!!! It’s so crazy how it goes by so dang fast! We love you and miss being around you guys. I am glad you’re writing on here, I am going to check all the time now! LOVE you!
