Not that Braxton Hicks are fun. It is very helpful and moves your delivery faster as you mentiones. Aaron and I were amazed at how quickly time goes, especially since we are so far from family. Good luck and keep us posted as the time gets nearer.

I was so confused with those on my last pregnancy. They were stronger than what I experienced with the first two – and at times seemed to come quite often. I didn’t know if they were real – if I should be timing – or what! Especially since my second delivery came early (water broke in the movie theater) – I was told I was having contractions – but I never even felt them (granted I wasn’t very far along – I have C-sections) – I slept through them and went into surgery 8 hours later – but still – that really confused me. So – when I was having braxton hicks in the third pregnancy that were so strong and coming frequently I was like, “Okay – now what do I do? Is this real, or what?”. When I say strong – I mean – my muscles were tightening all the way down to mid-calf. Craziness! Made it hard to walk – but it didn’t hurt – just weird. They were just braxton hicks – I carried the baby until my C section date.
