One Week

In a little over twelve hours she’ll be one week old.  We’ve survived (yes, parents and baby!) for an entire week.  Let’s just keep this up one day at a time and see if we can’t make it to eighteen-years.

Am I the only Dad that calls her by everything but her name?  I’ve often been one for nicknames but now I’m starting to wonder..

Nicknames are a lot of fun – we use them so much that our kids don’t even know their real names. Tab having the greatest number of them in our household.

Funny moment . . . . one of her first Sundays in Sunbeams the teacher was asking all of the kids in class their full names. (I guess they didn’t have a roster that day). And so Tabitha’s response was, “Tabitha Zeebert”. So, when Jon picked her up from class (we were new in the ward too) – the teacher said, “So you’re Brother Zeebert?” Jon was totally confused and asked for clarification. He couldn’t help but laugh when he explained to the teacher that Zeebert is one of Tab’s many nicknames (Jon calls her Tabitha Zeebert or just Zeebert -Zee is her middle name). So fun.
