Bird Watching at a park in Oregon
OK, I admit- I have been slacking on blogging but I have tons of pictures of my little angel. This past week we took a road trip as a family to Portland- a 12 hour drive! Addison did so AWESOME though- no fussing, just happy smiling, talking, sleeping, playing and eating. We stopped only a couple times to change her and let us all get some fresh air and stretch our legs.
Milk dribbling down her face!
Addison turned 5 months last Thursday! She’s talking up a storm to anyone who will listen. Her two bottom teeth are about to break through. She’s giggling and loves to be tickled- especially by her dad! Addison can sit up mostly on her own (she does this best while sitting in my lap). We are having to be extra careful where we lay her because she won’t stay there for long. She’ll either roll or scoot herself to someplace more interesting. She also loves to sing along with almost any song on the radio… I can just go on and on about her!

Lots are going on with Christer and me. Christer is looking for another job- one that won’t make him travel so much! It’s taking a toll and he misses his family
I am LOVING being a stay at home mom. Any tips on how to lose pregnancy weight- I would love to hear them! I lost all my pregnancy weight two weeks after I had Addison, which was really nice- but my body still isn’t the same shape. I have a goal and I realize that I just need to get really serious about it. Losing weight isn’t easy and so I just need to accept that ![]()
Christer and I also had alot of fun in Portland. Christer presented at OSCON (Open Source Conference) and did great! His room was full and had tons of hand shakes and business cards given to him afterward. He also has potentially a job oppertunity from it. This postition would really be perfect for him/us! He would get to even work from home! Coss your fingers… he has an interview on Tuesday- I’ll keep you updated.

First of all, IT’S ABOUT TIME!!!! Us who are far away and don’t get picture texts all the time, appreciate the pictures! I’m glad you all had a good trip to Oregon! Addison is getting more adorable every single day! Cat, you are looking beautiful as well. And SO excited about Christer’s new job opportunity, we will be praying! We love you all and miss you very much! Glad to see a new post….please don’t make us wait that long again!
I hate to tell you this, but your body is never going to be the same shape agian. Depressing, I know, but you’ll get used to it some day. Addison is so cute though, so I’m guessing it was worth it. Good luck with the job searching.
Cat – Jon & I are doing the “body for life” http://www.bodyforlife.com fitness challenge. We’ve been on it for almost 5 weeks (12 week program) – and he’s lost 20 lbs. I’ve gotten more trim and am building muscle. It’s a pretty easy program – you just have to stick to it. 20-45min. workouts, 6 days a week – and good eating 6 days a week. On Sunday we relax and eat all the junk we can handle – and then start again on Monday. If you’re into it – I recommend buying the book, “Body for life – Champions” and the recipe book (A must) – “Eating for life”. The food is actually good – and it’s normal stuff. No calorie or point counting – pretty simple (so good for me). It’s fun doing it together too – supporting & cheering each other on. Good luck!
